The Apple Store rebooted this morning with a refreshed MacBook Pro lineup, with one or two price cuts thrown in for good measure. The 13-inch Retina MBP's now baseline with 2.6GHz i5 processors with optional 2.8GHz i5 and even 3.0GHz i7 processors available, and a new default 16GB of RAM (previously 8GB). The 15-inch MBP can now be had with 2.2GHz and 2.5Ghz i7 processors with an option for a 2.8GHz i7. All 15-inch models also now come standard with 16GB of RAM (up from 8GB) and there's even a teeny tiny price cut, but only for the high-end 2.5GHz i7 model with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M GPU; it's now $100 cheaper at $2,499.
Last and literally the least, the lowly non-retina 13-inch MacBook Pro remains lowly, no spec. bump here, but hey it is even cheaper with a $100 price cut down to $1099.
As of right now all models ship in 24 hours and are available in the Apple Store.
Rough Translation? Broadwell still ain't ready yet, so it's a tiny Haswell refresh till 2015.
