Reddit goes app native

By buying the excellent Alien Blue. In honor of the acquisition, the new Reddit Alien Blue includes an upgrade to pro for one week (note: if you already have the old Alien Blue, you need to snag the new one and get the free upgrade). Big congrats to developer Jase Morrissey for making all the hard work pay off.

You can't buy them, but they're selling like crazy

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus account for 33% and 13% off all phones sold in the U.S. in the quarter ending last month. But Apple is doomed I's tells ya.

Yesterday Google announced their refreshed Nexus lineup, including a Moto X-based Nexus 6 “phone” with 6" display, an HTC-made Nexus 9 tablet with new 8.9" 4x3 display, and “we swear we've nailed TV this time” Nexus Player. The new Nexus hardware, and the announcement of Android 5.0 Lollipop, meant to bring Google's new Material Design UI to the masses, were then promptly swept under the rug by yesterday's new iPads leak, in where images of iPads that look largely identical to last year's iPad whipped tech news into a frothy heap of goo.
