Over at TUAW Mike Wehner highlights the SteelSeries Stratus' advantage over the current competiton in that it leaves your iPhone or iPad free to use a Lightning AV adapter because it pairs with Bluetooth:
But believe it or not, these selling points aren't why I think the Stratus is truly the most important iOS gaming accessory yet; it's because of its ability to turn your iPhone or iPad into what is effectively an Apple game console. By using the Lightning AV adapter with HDMI output, you can hook your iDevice up to your TV and then sit back and use the Stratus controller to play the games on the big screen. That's pretty damn awesome. Link
Wehner goes on to say what others have said, namely that the Stratus isn't a particularly well made controller and it won't likely end being the controller gamers end up using (no way I'd buy a $100 controller that looks like a Cracker Jack prize). Still, iDevice as console is “pretty damn awesome”, strange that others 1 aren't able to see that.
